Canada Will Introduce A New Refugee Pathway

Canada Will Introduce A New Refugee Pathway: Canada continues to be a global leader in terms of labor mobility and resettlement of refugees. The government assists communities and companies in addressing labor shortages by bringing skilled refugee pathway and other displaced people to Canada undoubtedly. Currently, even so, Canada will make improvements to the immigration system permanent.

The Honorable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, declared that Canada would launch a new refugee pathway under the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) to assist employers in hiring skilled refugees and other displaced individuals during a keynote address to business and sector leaders, NGOs, and civil society organizations in Toronto.

Refugee Pathway

How the EMPP functions

With the EMPP, NGO partners facilitate connections between Canadian employers and skilled migrants abroad. Further, to involve employers nationwide, NGO partners collaborate with the provinces, territories, and communities. They organize job fairs, for instance, to link Canadian employers with competent individuals abroad and provide micro-loans to newcomers.

The seven participating NGOs include the following:

Candidates for the EMPP may submit an application for immigration to Canada through an active regional economic program after receiving a job offer. After receiving approval from the community, province, or territory, the individual can then submit an application for permanent residency to the IRCC.
The application procedure for the new pathway would be simpler and quicker because of unified eligibility requirements, claims IRCC. There will only be a single application that could fill. The new program is anticipated to take six months to process applications, equivalent to other programs run by the Express Entry system. In addition, specific fees will waive as part of the EMPP facilitation measures, making it simpler to authenticate work experience and allowing candidates to use loans to pay for travel expenses, relocation needs, start-up costs, and fees that won’t waive.

Although to fill labor shortages, Canada will continue to expand the EMPP and anticipates welcoming 2,000 qualified refugees and other displaced people. Furthermore, employers may hire candidates in any NOC category, including TEER 0 to 5 occupations.
