On November 24, 2021, Canada held an Express Entry draw for the new immigrants. 613 new immigrants are invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada. The candidates will only receive an invitation to apply (ITA) if they are nominated under Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) program.
Recent PNP draw held by Canada
Canada held an Express Entry draw for new immigrants on 24th November. 613 new immigrants are invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada. The invited candidates will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) only if they are nominated under Provincial Nomination Program (PNP).
As last year the CRS cutoff was 449, so relatively this year the cutoff was quite high. But if the candidate is nominated under Provincial Nomination Program (PNP), the additional 600 points will be added to their score once the candidate will receive the nomination. In another context, the candidate with the lowest score will have 137 points of the comprehensive rating system (CRS) without the provincial Nomination Program (PNP).
If the candidate with a minimum CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate is 737, then they will be included in the invitation. The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC) as per the tie-breaker rule will publish the cutoff as an administrative requirement, apart from knowing that there was an actual tie or not.
Canada aims for domestic candidates to immigrate through express entry
For the non-essential travels Canada’s border is still closed but as mentioned above the Canadian government still wants to welcome a huge number of new immigrants for permanent residence. In the current scenario, the Canadian government led by the liberal party has set a target of 40,100 new immigrants to welcome in Canada through the Express Entry draw programs. Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC) is holding some program-specific draws to meet the targets set by the Canadian government. The program-specific draw targets the candidates who are likely already in the Country.
When the Canadian border was first closed in March 2020, Canada amends between holding the provincial program system (PNP) draws and the rounds of invitation who only invites the eligible candidates for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has applied this pattern until the end of the year when they started holding all the program draws repeatedly, which came out to not single out the candidates who are eligible for any program.
Immigration to Canada during Pandemic
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC) is back again withholding the provincial program system (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) specified draw. There was a time when Canada invited candidates for Express Entry from all programs, but in 2021 the IRCC only invited candidates from the State Nominee Class and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Canada held 33 PNP-specific express entry draws and invited 17,785 candidates to apply for permanent residence. During the same period, Canada hosted 27 CEC drawings with 133,868 invitations. On February 13, this year, Canada invited 27,332 CEC candidates to one draw. During the summer, the Immigration Bureau issued 6,000 PNP draw invitations at a time.
The Invitation to Apply (ITA) that is issued by the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) has exceeded this year due to this reason. So, Canada has issued 44,124 new invitations to the express entry candidates in the year 2021. Provincial program system(PNP) Express Entry draws will always have the score requirement as above 600, but in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) specified draw the scores will depend upon the number of the candidates that Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited in the given draw. Mostly, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws requirements get down for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) specific draws as it is based upon the number of the candidates that are in the pool, it also depends upon the no. of the invitations that are issued by the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
