Canada Invites Applications for Permanent Residency
On 8 January 2025, Canada has invites the 1350 candidates to apply for permanent residency in Canada. These invitations are released under Express Entry draw No. 332 for the CEC category. The date and time of this express entry round was 8 January 2025 at 16:02:18 UTC, where the CRS score of lowest ranked invited candidate is fixed at 542. The tie-breaking rule date and time was 7 December 2024, at 01:10:06 UTC
It is the first express entry draw of 2025 under the Canadian Experience Class category. In previous round on 19 November, there are 400 ITAs has sent to candidates to apply for permanent residency. That time, the cut-off CRS score was 539.
The first draw of 2025 for PNP was conducts on 7 January 2025, where the authority has sent the 471 invitations to foreigners, with cut off CRS scores is fixed at 793.
What Is the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)?
The Canadian Experience Class is the main immigration program managed by the IRCC’s Express Entry system. This program is suitable for skilled workers who have work experience and want to get permanent residency in Canada.
Canada’s New Express Entry Draw 2025
The new Express Entry draw 2025 on 8 January 2025 marks the first round of invitations in the new year, and provides a chance for candidates to apply for PR with provincial nominations. It gives the 471 ITAs to apply for permanent residency in Canada. These invitations are sent to candidates with a CRS score of 793 and show an increase in 66 points from the previous PNP draw.
Express Entry rounds of ITAs
The Canadian government held selection events for Express Entry applicants after every 2 weeks. On 7 January 2025, 471 ITAs has sent to eligible candidates, with minimum CRS score of 793. The express entry draw event was earlier held on 25 November and announced the tie-breaking rule.
If the number of candidates applied for PR with same CRS score, then cut off is determined by application submission date and time for Express Entry system. The last draw for PNP was held on 16 December 2024, and issues 1085 invitations to eligible candidates, with a minimum CRS score of 727
CEC eligibility criteria
You must complete the minimum one year of paid work in Canada to become eligible for CEC. If you have work experience during 3 years before submit CEC application, then you are eligible to apply for permanent residency in Canada through this Canadian Experience Class update.
