Latest Express Entry Draw On October 12, 2022: IRCC held its latest express entry draw on October 12. This time, the number of invitations issued is increased to 4,250. The CRS score cut-off for draw number 233 was 500 points. The candidates who received ITA, are now supposed to complete their application for PR in 60 days. Then, the IRCC will process the applications and the average processing time for PR applications in 2022 is 6 months. So, in this post, we will have a look at the express entry process and its trend in 2022.

Express Entry 12 October 2022 Draw

The express entry system came into effect in 2015 for skilled workers’ permanent residence. The Canadian Government can select applicants from the pool according to the economic needs of the country. Candidates can apply for PR through three streams within the express entry. The three streams are:

The eligibility criteria are different for all three streams. So, after meeting the requirements one can apply for a particular stream by creating an online profile. After creating a profile, one is awarded a CRS score. The express entry draw is held every two weeks and candidates with high CRS scores receive ITA.

Express Entry Draw results Who can apply for Express Entry?

As mentioned above, the eligibility criteria are different for different streams. So, to apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program, one must meet the following requirements.

  • at least one year of continuous work experience in a skilled occupation (Skill Type 0, Skill level A or B)
  • a minimum score of CLB 7 on language test
  • Canadian educational credential or foreign educational credential with an Education Credential Assessment report

For Federal Skilled Trades Program, the eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

  • at least two years of work experience in skilled a trade occupation that comes under Skill Level B in the Canadian NOC system
  • offer of full-time work for at least 1 year
  • a minimum score of CLB 4 on language test

And the eligibility criteria for the Canadian Experience Class are as follows.

  • legal authority to work in Canada
  • at least 1 year of work experience in skilled occupations like managerial jobs, professional, or technical jobs.
  • met the minimum score requirement on language test

The applicants must note that above mentioned are the basic requirements for each stream. However, one can include several other things in the profile to increase the CRS score. The candidates having high CRS scores receive ITA early.

Previous Express Entry Draw Results 2022

The express entry draws were paused for a long time due to the pandemic. And the candidates in the express entry pool were eagerly waiting for them to resume. Finally, the draws resumed in July 2022. The first draw in 2022 was held on July 6 that invited 1,500 immigrants with a CRS score of 557 points.

In further draws, the CRS scores started dropping down slowly and the Canadian Government increased the number of invitations to be issued. The list of invitations issued with CRS score in each draw till now is given below.
