Canada PNP draw outreaches 932 candidates: Express Entry Draw In a new Express Entry draw, Canada invites 932 candidates on June 8 to apply for permanent residence (PR).

In the new draw, only PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) candidates were invited by (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) IRCC. A minimum score of 796 was required to be invited to the drawCanada PNP draw candidates automatically get a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of 600 points along with their base score, due to which the score was relatively higher.

On March 2, Canada invited the largest number of candidates, which is 1,047 PNP immigrants. In the previous draw, the number of PNP candidates was 589 with a minimum score of 741.

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program | Immigration program for tech workers: Alberta’s immigration minister, Tyler Shandro, announced the Accelerated Tech Pathway on January 13. The province had already begun accepting applications to the new program in December.  In order to be eligible, tech professionals need to have a profile in the federal government’s Express Entry system and be eligible for the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

Invitations will be issued at pre-pandemic rate

When Canadian Government resumes the all-program Express Entry draws in July, the number of invitations will be similar to pre-pandemic draws. It shows that the draw sizes are likely to become consistent with the average number of invitations issued before the outbreak of the pandemic and travel as well as public health restrictions that followed. Before March 2020, invitations in Express Entry draws held in that year ranged between 3400 and 4500. In 2019, all programs draws between 3200 and 3900.

Canadian government added 15,000 jobs in April and the unemployment rate fell low to 5.2% as the job market remained heated, according to data released by Statistics Canada on Friday.
There is no sign that the tight Canadian market will ease soon. In addition to the modest number of jobs added, the unemployment rate among core-aged workers (ages 25 to 54) hit a record low, at 4.3%, as did the involuntary part-time unemployment rate, at 15.7%.
