Nurse Shortage Ontario | Ontario to recruit nurses to cope up with pandemic: Ontario experienced a shortage of registered nurses due to which it becomes difficult for the province to cope up with the pandemic. So in order to solve this issue, Ontario should recruit new nurses. There are some provinces and territories of Canada that are facing a shortage of nurses. The provinces like New Brunswick, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and Yukon are facing difficulties in recruiting nurses.
British Columbia, so far in the year 2021 has invited 3,531 candidates through PNP to apply for the provincial nominations. On April 20, B.C. invited 90 immigration Candidates to apply for provincial nominations in the BC PNP Tech pilot Draw. Under the categories of Express Entry BC and skills immigration, the candidates are given invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot draw.
This week has been a quite busy week for Canadian immigration. Besides two draws of Express Entry and the multiple Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, Canada has announced six new immigration programs for the international graduate students, the essential workers, and the French language speakers, that can be used as a pathway for the permanent residence in Canada. Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada (IRCC) introduced new immigration programs for about 90,000 people which includes the students who are international graduates and the essential workers to become permanent residents of Canada, along with an infinite number of applicants who can speak the French language. So this May six new immigration programs will be launched by the Canadian government for international students, essential workers, and French speakers to get their permanent residency in Canada.
6,000 Caregivers for Canada to be finalized by the end of 2021: Immigration Minister of Canada announced new rules and measures for the caregivers to finalize their permanent residency in Canada. By December 31, 2021, the immigration department of Canada has a plan to finalize over 6,000 application of caregivers who want to become permanent residents of Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) gives a statement on April 15, in which they state that the caregivers who have complete work experience as well their family member in Canada only those applications will be finalized.
Canada held CEC Express Entry CRS draw on 16th April 2021 which is the second largest in the history of Express Entry. After the previous draw on April,1 for the new immigrants, this draw invited 6000 CEC i.e. Canadian Experience Class candidates for applying to the Permanent Residency in Canada. Also, this draw was 15 points lesser than the previous draw of 432 CRS points. Immigrants who are invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada, have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program. Those candidates who will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) are considered eligible candidates and should have a score of at least 417.
The Canadian government used to conduct an Express Entry draw approximately every two weeks. So it is predicted that the next Express Entry draw will be getting released soon on 30th April 2021. British Colombia so far in the year 2021 issued 3,441 invitations to the candidates so as to apply for Provincial nomination using Provincial Nomination programs (PNP) under various streams and categories. The candidates were issued invitations to different streams that are from the Express Entry BC (EEBC), Skills Immigration (SI), and the streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
On 14th April 2021, Honorable Marco E.L. Mendicino of IRCC i.e. Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship, has announced a unique pathway to get permanent residency for 90,000 International Graduates & Essential Temporary Workers who are currently contributing to the economy of Canada. This policy will help permanent residency to international students and essential workers who are working the eligible occupation as per the Canadian Government list. This has been introduced to accelerate the recovery of the economy of Canada. New Express Entry draw was held in Alberta on April 6, in Which they invited the candidates under Express Entry to apply for the provincial nomination program (PNP). Recently, about 1,209 invitations were issued by Alberta to the Express Entry candidates who can apply for the provincial nomination program (PNP) in the year 2021. Alberta invited 200 candidates under Express Entry through Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) so as to apply for the Express Entry stream of Alberta. This year the requirement for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 302, which means it is one point more than the previous two draws.
