How FSWP is different from CEC: Express Entry Streams: Express Entry has three streams through which you can be invited FSWP, FSTP, and CEC. Out of all the three streams, CEC is given priority as candidates need not show any proof of funds to settle in Canada. The eligibility criteria for all three streams is different.
Alberta held PNP Draw with the highest CRS cut-off since February: New Express Entry draw was held in Alberta on December 7, in which they invited the candidates under Express Entry to apply for the provincial nomination program (PNP). Alberta invited 100 Express Entry Candidates to apply for a state nomination on November 24th. Most of this year’s Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) draws were relatively small, given that we invited more than 200 candidates at a time. Another draw in January was as small as 100, with a minimum of 50. With an Alberta draw of 350, the scoring requirements were also relatively high. Only one other drawing of the year had a high cut-off score of 360 in January.

This year the requirement for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was at least 300, which means it is one point less than the previous draw.
Express Entry Canada Invited 500 PNP candidate for Permanent Residency: On May 26th 2021, Canada sent an invitation to 500 Express Entry Candidates to apply for the Permanent Residency in Canada. A candidate will be invited for Express Entry only if applicant have received a nomination from Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). In this Express Entry draw, the minimum score required for eligibility was 713. This score includes the 600 points that a candidate receives automatically due to the PNP nomination. So, without a PNP Nomination, the candidate should have only 113 points. If the draw is compared with previous PNP Draws, the points requirement was reduced by 39 points. However, the invitation was already sent on 18th may to the eligible candidates.
