The Young Professionals category will grant applicants an employer-specific work permit. This means that you are permitted to work with some particular employers. The employer you want to work with must meet all labor laws in the province or territory.

International Co-op (Internship) Category in IEC
You can apply for this if
- you are a student registered at a post-secondary institution
- you have a job offer for a work placement in Canada
- you need to do this work placement to complete your studies
- you will work for the same employer and in the same location
Applicants will get an employer-specific work permit through International Co-op (Internship). Also, it must be considered that your internship is in the field of your study. Moreover, the employer must meet all labor laws in the province.
Eligibility Criteria for IEC program
If your country (that you hold the citizenship of) has a Youth Mobility Agreement with Canada, then you can apply through any one of the three categories mentioned above.
